There are hugely important events happening in Afghanistan (as well as Iraq) yet discussion is limited to one stops no one ever thinks to look at. At least the other one stops pop to the top when new posts are added. I can understand a one stop when the war in Iraq was a subject of furious debate, but that is no longer the case. Still, Americans are doing important things there and are dieing in the process. The forums owe them at least the courtesy of not treating these events (and our solders) as if they lacked significance or importance.

If you have something, why do you not post it?

If you have something, why do you not post it? Because if I am going to take the time to compose a post about the Marja offensive, I want to be able to title the thread as such, and keep the topic to the Marja offensive instead of being pushed off topic by the next post. Also, I would like more then 2 people to read it before it gets pushed into forum ether.

I understand the idea behind the one-stops, but what seems to happen is that the become practically useless for anybody actually looking for information or discussion on certain topics. -Dan.

You could always change the title of the thread in your post, although I don't know if you can do that in a one stop or not.

However, it's probably just going to be a few of us geek-wonks that follow the war in any depth. I am very interested in what you have to say, so I hope you post anyway.
