Oregon student newspaper runs pictures of Jesus as a homosexual. (IT WAS ADVISED TO CONTINUE TOPICS HERE & DISCUSSIONS, AS OUR FEDERAL TAXES GO TO SUPPORT THIS SCHOOL, ANY CITIZEN HAS THE RIGHT TO OPINE...)

The Associated Students of the University of Oregon (ASUO) has refused to apologize for an obscene anti-Christian assault in the campus newspaper Insurgent.

The March edition of the Insurgent ran one of the strongest attacks on Christianity I have seen. The paper ran graphics depicting Jesus as a homosexual. One was a depiction of a naked Jesus on the cross with an erection; the other, titled Resurrection, showed a naked Jesus kissing another naked man, both sporting erections.

When asked for an apology by Students of Faith, ASUO refused to give one saying that "there are no grounds for demanding an apology from Insurgent." The ASUO went on to defend the publication saying that the newspaper contributes "to the cultural and physical development of the university community."

The Insurgent would never show a naked graphic of the Rev. Martin Luther King kissing another man. But offending Christians was of no concern to the Insurgent or to University President Dave Frohmayer.

The ASUO Women's Center tolerates no defamation against gays and lesbians. Three years ago, ASUO demanded that the university radio station, KUGN, drop Michael Savage (a conservative talk show host). The university promptly discontinued the program. But depicting Jesus as a homosexual is perfectly OK.

Here is what Insurgent Student Editor Jessica Brown had to say about the graphics. "I have to say it is really fun to offend people. It is fun to break the rules. If it <edited> people off…good that's the point!!! It has here in this office. So read, get <edited> and talk about it."

Incidentally, the University forces all students, including Christians, to pay student dues of $191.00 per term, part of which goes to support the Insurgent.

It is important for them to become aware of the growing anti-Christian bias in our country. It is time for Christians to speak out saying that bigotry against Christians—or any faith—is unacceptable. Share this information with others in your church and Sunday school.

I just left another discussion group here on the internet for alot of the same reasons spoken of by this article. It is time for the Christians to take a stand! How many more atrocities will we allow to be displayed by the world and us not defend our Lord? My Savior Jesus Christ WAS AND IS PERFECT!!!! He committed no sins what so ever, and what the devil is attempting to do is tell the world that HE was no better than we are! What an atrocity! Come on Christians, let's have a backbone and stop this before it gets too far gone like yanking prayer out of school!! Tek

General public question^^^^On those other Born-Again Christ centered boards were there ways to sign petitions or take an action in loving concern, therefore being True watchmen on the walls ??? This is a general question.

Lord, have mercy.

By the way the enemy is trying to cause lots of confusion on these issues; and many are duped & unknowingly distracting from Christian unity.

A prayer...

Father God - touch this University that is producing hate, anti- Christian values, so that the President shows his/her own anti-Christian values, and pushing their values on God fearing children at this campus. Father God raise a hedge of protection that someone will take a stand for Chirst as Christ as took a stand for us all. And that the evil that is being brought forth to these children, so far away from home, and surrounded by so many different influences. Protect them all and keep them safe and that this type of 'art' is known as junk/lies. This I pray in YOUR holy ever lasting name Father God, Amen,Amen,Amen....

Let us all keep praying for this Univeristy due to the unclean hearts, minds, and souls that walking about on this campus. Allow all those whom take part of this trash turn their lives over to Christ, and protest to get rid of this type of 'Free Speech' - this isn't free speech this is free hate. The anti-Christian way. Where the God fearing children are far from home, and have no Church roots, or spiritual leader to turn to as if they was at home. Father God wash over every inch of this University and the staff especially those whom don't protest about it in fear of their positions, or those whom, just don't have a personal initimate relationship with YOU Father God. Forgive them all for they not know the evil they are creating against YOU.

That is a survey that has been given to homosexuals and it simply replaced the word homosexual with heterosexual. The fact that people are getting so angry about it should serve to educate them on just how upsetting insensitivity can be.

Actually, no:
"The questionnaire was developed in 1977 by a prominent gay psychologist. Its intended purpose is not for use as a survey, but to sensitize people to questions often faced by non-heterosexuals and to spur discussion."

The questions themselves aren't offensive, gay or straight (unless one is sensitive and looking for something to be offended about). What's offensive is trying to equate the naturalness and normalcy of heterosexuality with homosexuality.

Let's NOT forget that Jesus died on the cross to save the homosexual just as much as he died on the cross so that you or I could be saved. There seems to be a lot of hatred for the homosexual lifestyle as if it were a greater sin than lying, stealing, heterosexual immorality, alcoholism, child or spousal abuse, pride, selfishness etc. God's word says that ALL sin will lead to separation from him -- so the person whose sin is selfish ambition is just as guilty as the person who sin is homosexuality.

It just boggles my mind that so-called Christian organizations would rather condemn homosexuals and create an atmosphere of fear and hatred that can only lead to violence against gays rather than follow Jesus' example of "eating with the tax collectors". Many of these organization have forgotten Jesus' commission to seek and save the lost and have bought into the political rhetoric of legislating behavior rather than saving souls. These organizations have become the "National Inquirer" of the church and their newsletters and petitions only serve to nullify the true message of the gospel.

Is homosexuality a sin? Yes, and it should be addressed in the same manner as one would address heterosexual immorality. Is homosexuality a worse sin than lying, or smoking or alcoholism or gossip? My bible says NO. In fact, I believe the bible speaks about homosexuality about 6 times. It calls PRIDE an abomination (same word used for homosexuality) and mentions this sin about a hundred times. Which do you think God considered more important?

To be fair homosexuality does appear in nature, so it's not completelyunnatural. However, that questionnaire, like the parents complaining in the article say, is sexual harassment.

CNN has a special tonight on whether or not homosexuals can change. This may be of interesting to watch (if you can tear yourself away from American Idol).

Tuesday's show

Can homosexuality be cured? A controversial treatment claiming it can make gay people, straight. Tune in at 8 p.m. ET.

Homosexuals are a 'bigger problem' simply because most churchs don't have openly homosexual members. It is easier to preach out against then over eating, over drinking, cheating, or other sins that church members may be doing.

These Christian organizations contrary to what others think are no just hitting one key on the piano, they are hitting abortion, child porn, gambling, pornography, child abuse and many, many other issues. They are leading the way in many cases in attempting to love the sinner, but hate the sins.

BUT...

We are seeing more & more where traditional values & our families are under demonic attack. i.e.:

Activist Judge Strikes Down Ban On Homosexual Marriage, Overruling 76% of Georgia Vote

A liberal activist judge has struck down a constitutional amendment in Georgia which made homosexual marriage illegal! She felt that she knew better than the voters how they should vote and threw out their ballots.

The constitutional amendment, passed overwhelmingly by 76% of the voters in Georgia, is now null and void.

The homosexuals are determined to win this battle. They know they will never win if the people have an opportunity to vote. So they are turning to liberal activist judges to force their will on the people. They intend to force homosexual marriage down the throats of Americans. They feel our children must be indoctrinated beginning in kindergarten that homosexuality is normal behavior.

On June 6 the U.S. Senate will vote on the Marriage Protection Amendment (MPA) which defines marriage as being only between one man and one woman. Because of a power grab by activist judges like the one in Georgia, the MPA is the only way that the sacred institution of marriage will remain between one man and one woman.

Sociable animals have been known to revert to homosexuality when there is a problem with social and/or sexual integration with other animals of the opposite sex.

Like I said, it's not completely natural, but it's not completely artificial, either.

I've seen this. My Dog was homosexual. No one ever believes me (aside from those who met my pup). But I could stick him in a pen full of females in heat and he wouldn't even smell them... I tried. Maybe not a pen full but I made it point to put him around the females, preferabley in heat, once I came to this theroy. But he only wanted to be around and "friendly" with our other male dog.

and thats my two cents. If I'm lyin' I'm dyin'.....

How about some references to support this claim; please, may I, and thank you very much.

Yes, I just read about that too on the internet in regards to rats when the population gets too large. They eat their young also. So what does this have to do with people?

To clarify my post further, I read that rats have been know to turn to homosexual behavior when their population gets too large, and that they also eat their young when their population gets too large. I don't see how that connects to people.

I couldn't find any truth to support a naturalistic approach in regards to humans on the internet.

^^Every church that I have ever been too in NYC, Brooklyn Tabernacle, Times Square Church & dozens of others have always preached more heavily about adultery, living in sexual sins as unmarrieds, etc. Even fire & brimstone preachers like David Wilkerson have attempted in the past to even set up a house for homosexuals trying to escape the life & Pastor Jim Cymbala of Brooklyn Tabernacle have street teams that reach out to transvestites and minister (in teams) in Greenwich Village, one of their most famous converts was Ricardo, a transexual with aids, that later married & is on the excellent Brooklyn Tabernacle @ Madison Square Garden video, available all over. A witness to the love & compassion of many traditional NY area Christian churches. GOD BLESS THEM, as they minister to a lost world. The catholics are amongst the largest international groups, pioneering care for those afflicted with hiv/aids; at the outset mainly gay men. Washing wounds & feeding the sick. Amen.

Please understand, I am no way stating that I support homosexuality; however, there actually are documented cases of homosexual behavior in the animal kingdom.
