Well it's been a while but I thought for the time being I'd come back on and say hello once again...
Call sign is "Maverick" and I'm in the good ole state of Texas. Wouldn't trade it for anything... Now 26 going on 27...
Formerly known to the crosswalk community as "IAMFREETORUN" but now I'm back as Flyboy007...
Just looking to get some direction and encouragement during these times of change in my life.

Info: in my late(omgosh) 40's and single again for about 7 years. Just became a grandfather for the first time and enjoy running, triathlon, reading books, and bible study. Taught ss (7th) for 11 years and am a Stephen Minister. Waiting on God for new directions for my life. Have a darn cat but a dog person.

What do you enjoy doing?: Reading, shopping, bowling, sporting events, concerts, I'm a lover of the arts, especially performing arts. Most of all volunteer work/community service. I am a mentor/lunch buddy to an at-risk 3rd grade girl. Of course I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, God and my church, New Birth Charlotte. I am active in various ministries and currently taking a 7 week Spiritual Transformation course.
Tell us a little about yourself: Currently chasing hard after God. I'm also taking a class on spiritual transformation through my church. Not perfect by any means, but I refuse to be another Christian who just "attends" church. I don't want my life to be of such where nothing comes from it. Looking to change lives, and hopefully the world.
I'm single, 29 yr old, no kids, and never married. I grew up here in the Charlotte area. I am the youngest of 3 with 2 older brothers. I am nurse by profession and would consider myself to be outgoing and down-to-earth with a great sense of humor. I LOVE to laugh I stay busy by doing a lot of the things mentioned above, but I also co-organzie a social meetup group for 20-something females. I have a lot of fun doing that. To know me is to love me.

How long have you been lurking/posting?: Been on Crosswalk for 2yrs, but just started with the forums.
What do you enjoy doing?: Everything! I'm a very active guy that loves sports, hiking, etc. I also enjoy books and music.
Tell us a little bit about yourself: Aside from the above-mentioned, I'm 27, really love God and my family. Divorced, sadly, but I'm trying very hard to learn from my mistakes and build a life in God with His help. I'm 6'0" with blue eyes and red/brown hair, and somewhat extroverted. (Not loud, just outgoing. lol)

How long have you been posting/lurking: Well, I was lurking and posting under a different username before the merger, but then my ancient computer's hard drive crashed and I could no longer use it. When I bought a new computer, I found that the merger had taken place and my old username didn't work, so I had to create a new account. I found out later that everyone on the forums had to sign up again after the merger, but by the time, I was already established in my new identity and didn't want to go back to my old username, which was okay, because I didn't like it that well anyway. 
So basically I've been posting here since November 10, 2006. My original new username was MyCatSmokey2006, but I decided that I wanted to use more avatars other than just cat ones, so I changed it to Melissa11102006.
What do you enjoy doing? I enjoy reading & posting in message board/forums, especially this one. I also enjoy reading my Bible & other Christian books, listening to Southern Gospel & other Christian music, surfing the internet, playing with my cat, Smokey, crocheting, doing embroidery and watching TV. My favorite TV shows and networks include Biggest Loser, COPS, CSI-Miami, CSI, O'Reilley Factor, Hannity, The Fox News Channel, Animal Planet, HGTV, The Food Network, HSN (Home Shopping Network) and A&E.
Tell us a little about yourself. I'm a single, white 45 year old female born again Christian. I used to be a Missouri Synod Lutheran, but now I'm an American Baptist church attendee. I plan to be a member someday. I have a silver white Persian cat named Smokey. While I'm content to be single most of the time, there are times that I wish that I had a male friend that would like me for who I am, not just what I look like.
