Hi all, I am new and new to homeschooling! Our oldest is 5 1/2 and we are excited! I was looking for prayer for God's Will and His guidance as we start our homeschooling journey - and that house or home or hubby don't suffer in our efforts!
thanks in advance....nice to be here!

DD2 is going through her typical tears and sadness and "It would be better if they didn't even come" that she goes through whenever she gets to see out of town family/friends that she doesn't see often. My brother and his family left this AM

took our surburban in for its inspection...and to have the brakes checked since they have not worked right since we had the rotors replaced. Turns out my left brake has not been working at all...so they are having to do a complete brake job. The problem is...it is eating the money we had set aside for this year's curriculum....but the brakes have to be done...this is our main vehicle...hubby's car will not hold our large family.

Howdy folks- Jerry is doing well. He is very pleased with the new form of Doxicyclene the Real doc gave him. His tum is no longer tore up.

I am posting for myself right now. It has been almost a month since I had my last PT appt and my shoulder has been doing good. Then today happened. I dunno what I did (really) but I got sort of a cramp across my shoulder blade that knotted up so bad it hurt to breath or move my arm. Jerry massaged it and put some Biofreeze and a cold pack on it but let me tell you it still hurts like

It is the same shoulder that I have had issues with before only in a different area- my shoulder blade and back. Please pray that it is just a cramp and will go away taking the pain with it.

When we had just left our house for vacation and were talking about having to stop for gas and cigarettes for Brian, Nicolas declared out of nowhere that his other mom and dad didn't smoke cigarettes anymore. He then proceeded to show us how they light their marijuana pipe. Ugh. We have decided that after his next week with them, we will be doing one of those drug tests you can find at pharmacies. Please pray that at least a trace comes up. We have known he was being exposed to that stuff as well as porn and other stuff, but we also know that if we get authorities involved and no one DOES anything, it will be very very bad for us. We don't have much faith in the family court system at this point, so we have to be absolutely sure that we will get custody before we rock the boat.

Pray about this OK? I got behind on the rent and we were at the gas station yesterday. The landlord pulled up next to us and got out of his Lincoln truck. I told him I would pay him Friday. He got a little irate and decided to hold on to the side of my truck and refused to let go. Anyhow, after about 5 minutes, and Ds telling him nicely that he is violating our Constitutional rights by holding us against our will, his wife got him loose and we left. I made a police report on the incident. OK, I ended up telling him that I'm moving out, not a good thing to do, right? I also told him that I was going to deduct $225 for my van window that was broken by the kid that cuts the grass and also money from the window on the truck cap.

Here is what I feel like doing. Friday I should have about $1200 altogether- my paycheck and what Ds gets from dh ends up coming the same day. I feel like putting everything in storage and just taking off and going back to MO. dh is still there, he can go and rent a place for Ds or at least help me get one.
then coming home from work this morning, I saw an apartment for rent across the street from where I pick up extra hours sometimes. MY work is probably about a mile or less away from the apartment. Between the apartment and where I work is the Christian school I want to send Ds to.
Do you get what I'm saying here? I really don't know what to do. I still love dh and want to go and see if he wants to try to get back together and at the same time, things like apartments close to work and the school just pop up in front of me. If we are supposed to stay here, pray that we can get this apartment.

praying for all of you!

Please pray that my DH gets a job, he has applied for a teachers aid job in the public school for the special education. We are really hoping for this job, it is *almost* full time, just shy of the hours so that they don't offer benefits, but that is okay. It would be good hours and decent pay for my DH. Please pray that I too, would find a stay-at-home job if I need to work. I am sort of hoping for a babysitting job that I applied for. But, God's Will be done! He knows what is best! WE don't know what God's Will is for this church (DH is a pastor), it consists of 4-elderly people, no chance for growth in the fleshly eyes. My DH is convinced that maybe we are here to take care of them, they've been faithful to the church and maybe we need to just be here for them. But, we have to have the money to survive here, so we need the jobs. We came here through circumstances, not really our first choice, we also came here knowing that we would both need jobs outside of the church. I knew I'd have to work, but at that time, I didn't know we'd have a baby! I would like prayer that God would provide so that I can stay home with him! We are slowling getting involved with another church, I also have my H.school group, so I have some fellowship outlets, my DH needs some fellowhsip outlets though, a job would provide that in someways, so pray for him.

Praying tracy!

Jerry is doing very well and going out of town come monday, He will be gone for a week. Home for a weekend. Then gone for another week.

This go round the van decided to give fits while he was home. The engine light came on and it did not seem to want to change gears but the transmission fluid was fine and the oil was fine. I did better on the way home from church but the light was still on so jerry took the battery loose and then hooked it back up to reset the computer thingy in it and cranked it again and the light is still on so he is dropping it off at the shop and will call in the morning to let the guy know whats going on with it.

Please pray this is an easy fix and that the van behaves. I need to have transport while jerry is gone and trill's car is in need of a tune up and taking spells where it is running like an old VW BUG (meaning running rough) so it is not exactly reliable transport right now either.

one other thing while I am on it. I have been having a MUD FOR BRAINS WEEK. Feeling blue and icky and unmotivated really. I need to come out of the funk.

THANKS.

~e

We got a call from my parents last night. My nephew, Matthew was hit by a car. He was walking across a busy road & wasn't crossing at the light. He was thrown up on the hood & hit his head on the windshield. He was still in the hospital last night for tests & observation. Matthew is 20, but has had epilepsy (but is off all medicine & has been seizure free for a while now). He doesn't drive. My mom said the doctors are concerned because of his past history of seizures. He was cited for jaywalking & will have to pay the damages for the mans car, which they think might be $1500. Pray that he fully recovers and that the costs won't be too much of a financial burden.

My nephew is doing well. He didn't have to stay overnight in the hospital. All the tests came back OK. They took him to his regular Dr yesterday & he did a thorough exam. He's sore, but it looks like he won't have any lasting effects from the accident! Please pray for my SIL. I haven't spoken to her yet, but my parents say she is freaking out about money & thinks others will blame her for being a "bad mother"!

Aunt Shirley's new cat has been taken to the emergency vet clinic an hour from here. We found him drewling, his head bouncing around untrolable, and his eyes looking funny.

I go back to the dentist at 2:40 tomorrow for him to finish removing the tooth he started a few weeks ago. The infection seems to be gone. The pain down by my jaw is gone. The gums are sore and sensitive to eating crunchy foods (literally crunchy not HSing, bfing, crunchy) because the root that's in there is a little wiggly. Pray that it comes out easily without any pain when it's happening and that afterwards it won't be too bad. It usually isn't.

Praying as I read- Please say a prayer for Jerry as he flies to Miami this afternoon to a Human Resource Conference that is supposed to help him with his transition to his new job... YES, they finally made a determination and he is moving to the new job Sept 1. Also keep me and the kids covered as I have a 9yo(jeremiah my high maint. son)that I fear is not going to handle this second week of Dad away well. He did so good last week but I could see some behaviors popping up this weekend that are pointing toward his slipping downhill- it has been AGES since he raided the kitchen after we went to bed. He has been doing so good. *shakes head* I hate to see him lose it ya know. Pray I know what to do to head him off at the pass.

We are supposed to be at the bank by now with some paperwork. Fred must have moved it when he borrowed Russ' car and now we can't find it. It has all our credit history in it. Please pray that we find it. Oh and Fred was sent to do errands, and has decided to be irresponsible and take off somewhere. Mom is calling around trying to find him.

I got a call today from the radiology place. They finally got a copy of my old mammogram (from 5 years ago) and after comparing it to my new one, the doctor wants me to come in for an ultrasound & diagnostic mammogram. The appointment is Thursday morning (Aug 16), but I have NO idea how long it will be before I get the results. Needless to say I'm a bit nervous about this. Pray for the results to be good & for peace of mind for me (especially if I have to wait a while for the results)!

Howdy folkses...

My parents are here and just before bed my sister called and one of her "children" (she works in a group home- foster care) is not well. He has been sick since before wed this past week. when my sister came on duty at the home. Mom tells her to take the lil one back to the hospital in the morning and then tells us some of the symptoms.

They are the same as Jerrys symptoms only the lil one age 5 has the spots! Low grade fever and nuasea that comes in cycles. achey legs and back that is now in the arms as well. Sweats... the poor kid! you'd think being where they are(in the mountains in the woods) that Rocky Mountain Spotted fever would be one of the very first things they'd think of. When mom was telling jerry about the length of the illness thus far jerry said that they used to call RMSF the Black measles because the spots start out looking like the measles but then turn off a bit dark/black. I thought momma would such her teeth down her wind pipe cause when she saw him Wednesday she said the spots were looking dark. They are going in first thing in the morning as he is drinking and doesn't seem to warrant a ER visit.

Please pray for the little guy. This can get ugly and lead to severe dehydration as well as kidney and liver failure.

~ezri

DH did not get any of the school jobs like I was hoping for. Lately there hasn't been anything in the paper either. I know God has perfect timing and He will take care of us, but sometimes I still get nervous. Our home school year will be a busy one with schooling 4 kids and one of them is learning to read. Our day is full! I just can't imagine going back to work. Pray that DH finds something, and if I do need to work, pray that it can be in my home so that I can still be with our children, especially since our baby is still young.

DH is taking a class from Liberty and he is a nervous wreck, very down on himself wondering if he can pass it or not. We paid for this class ourselves to see if he could pass enough to hold a student loan in the future. He has some mental illness, so it is a little more challenging for him to take this class than for others. the class is 8 weeks. In some ways, I am hoping he doesn't work until the class is over. but in other ways, the longer the period goes by, the more I get worried. I need to relax. I would also like to see my grandma after these 8 weeks, she is 87, lives almost 20 hours away and she has not met 2 of my children. And, I know that would be hard to do if my DH was working too. So, pray that our finances stretch for a while longer and that the church can pay us for at least 3 more months. When we asked the treasurer how long the church can pay us, she said a few more months and that was said to us last month. So, I know timing is in God's hands for everything to fall into place.

Our sweet baby goes back to Salt Lake City this Wednesday (tomorrow, the 22nd) for his first real laser treatment on his face. Pray that he heals up real fast and also pray for him the 23rd when he will have another eye exam under anesthesia (with always the possibility of surgery after) for the glaucoma. He will need to fast for both of these appointments, he is on solids now so I'm hoping he will do okay with fasting. He is a real sweetie pie and he turns 6 months old on the day of his appointment! There is always some stress when mom leaves home for a few days:) Pray for all of us!

Mom started chemo last week. She was hospitalized over the weekend. Of course, I didn't find out until today... They are concerned about infection. She's going to the doctor every day this week for fluids, antibiotics, and bloodwork.

This isn't a major issue but we can't find the remote for the cable box. Thekids were watching TV before we went out last night and we never used it when we got home. This is the remote that belongs to the cable company. I am sure someone just put it down in a wierd place but still...we need to find it.

My kids and I could use some prayer. I had to set a boundary and take a bit of a stand on something that Dh has been doing. As of yesterday morning, he's only speaking to me when necessary and he said that he needed to talk with me tonight. My daughter has noticed the tension when he's around. We just need prayer for my husband and for the issues he wants to talk about, that I'm not looking forward to hearing, and could very well affect our homeschooling.

Thanks
