I just got caught up on the weather around the country. Thankfully nothing too unusual to report from here in Kansas. Sunny and 40F this afternoon; pretty typical. April, I hope you feel the warm thoughts I'm sending your way. Dee

We're supposed to get some snow over the weekend and on monday. I'm okay with it I guess as long as we don't end up missing more then a day or so of school. Delays are okay. Complete days off on the other hand are NOT good. The nearby city just recently annexed a portion of county our school district encompasses and by doing so now collects some of the tax monies that were once the counties and used for snow removeal. Thus because of the budget cut, the county now has fewer plows on the roads for snow removal and the outlying parts of the county suffer. And if the rural roads are impassable the school district won't send out the busses, thus resulting in school cancellations. Right now the temps are about 40 or so degrees, but I'm sure the temps will be dropping overnight. Blessings, Garsy

You folk with the cold weather, I do hope you are keeping warm and filled. It was 60 here today. We have this heavy fog sometimes. Other times we have the "Tule Fog" which is only ground-deep, or it floats above you!

Hmm, dare I mention the beautiful weather I am blessed with in South Australia at the moment? I went out shopping with mum today and it was high 20's (*C)...such a beautiful sunny day! The rest of the week is forecast just as wonderful. Unfortunately no rain though.

It's FREEZING here. Temps are hovering at around 30 degrees and it's snowing. I've been shivering since I put the kids on the bus this morning. Blessings, Garsy

I think it was probably around 40 this morning and will get into the low 60's today. I layered a sweater over a turtleneck and I wondered if it would be enough. Pumping gas was a little chilly, but other than that, it's not too bad. We're not expected to get back up into the 80's again for a while... yea!!! I love cold weather!

We couldn't see the hills today because of fog, but it wasn't bad. I was cold indoors and had to put the heat on for a while, yet it was 43 outside.

LOL April. I'm sorry the warm thoughts aren't working; will keep trying. It is snowing here, but it sounds like we'll only get a couple of inches. Dee

Tuesday was so nice! But 'they' said a cold front was coming into SW Kansas. I covered the three windows on the north side of this old house with plastic. Wednesday it was cold and blowing. I think the plastic helped. This house is cold. There were bits of blowing ice Wednesday morning, making it slick, but we had to go to town 17 miles away to get some food. 5 miles out of town we passed the remains of the largest accident I have ever seen. Two semis were off to the right side, the trailer of one as ripped open and there were vegetables spilled on the highway. On the other side of the highway, there were two cars and another semi, the trailer filled with new cars, now slightly damaged. Then on the other side of the truck was another car, this one overturned onto its roof. Total that we saw, 3 cars and 3 semi-trucks with trailers. There were no rescue workers, I guess the injured had all been taken away. prayers I drove 30 mph to town and so did the rest of the traffic. One the way home, as we were approching the accident, another car passed me up going way too fast. Even seeing the accident didn't slow her down. She sped on.
