I'm not married, but I saw something my dad did for my mom a while back, so I hope this counts since it totally made ME melt.
My mom was feeling discouraged about work. She doesn't have a hobby, so she doesn't really have a means of unwinding when she comes home. One day, my dad bought her a book of piano music sheets. He waited for my mom by the door to give her the book.
My mom was confused because we don't have a piano.
That's when Dad turned mom around to make her face the den (which is right by the front door). My dad bought my mom a piano! She was SO happy! She hasn't played since she was in college, when she first met my dad. =)

We have lived in this house for 5 years and never had a fire in the fireplace because we wanted to have the chimney swept first. While I was at work he had the chimney sweep come out and hubby is building a fire as I type this.

Today was my long day on campus(10 hours) and when I got home tonight,I found my amazing husband had swept and mopped the kitchen, unloaded the dishwasher, vacuumed the whole house, and did two loads of laundry. He ended up with the day off unexpectedly and said he wanted me to have a relaxing weekend instead of catching up on the housework. I'm making him his favorite dessert tomorrow

My husband took all the kids hunting so I could get a break and then came home and said he wants to take me out to eat tonight without the kids. He made all the arrangements for us to be alone tonight.

.... okay. My hubby didn't do this for me... but what he did made me melt:
He drove 7 hrs. worked for about 5 hours and then drove 7 hours back home all in one day...
Our church had the opportunity to pick up 200 hospital beds in Mississippi for the purpose of shipping them to needy hospitals in Africa....
He rocks my world.

I blogged about this today:
Three years ago, on 11/13/05, my beloved cooked dinner for me for the first time, got down on one knee, professed his undying love, and asked me to be his wife.
Last night, my beloved cooked dinner for the countless time, professed his undying love, and told me how happy he is that I'm his wife.
(He does the dishes, too. Every night.)
How could life get any better than this?

This morning, as I was getting ready for school, I commented that I needed to hurry because I needed gas on the way out. Without even telling me, my husband left the house at 5:45am and went down to gas my car. As I was getting dressed, he came in and told me he filled my car up so I wasn't so rushed.
It was such a small thing, but it blessed me all day long.

The weather has been very snowy here so my husband hasn't been working. His job is affected by weather. He's been getting up and going out to start the car and clean the snow off for me. This morning he also made me oatmeal so that I'd have breakfast.

I love this thread too! It's wonderful to remember the little things and acknowledge how wonderful our men are! I love that there's a place we can go to build our husbands up when so there are so many negative things floating around.

I have been wanting a cell phone for awhile now and I arranged it to where I placed the order for my phone. I told my husband that I placed the order and where I ordered if from and that we need to pick up the phone right after work. So he informed that he made plans for something else so that we would have to get my phone at another time. So I convinced that it would just take a second. So he picks me up from work I offered to drive since he doesn't like to drive in traffic and I drive fast... He told me No he said just get in so we can go... then I get in a little upset then he takes off in the opposite direction to where the cell phone store is at... He said gently we will go on Saturday,,,,, So I wanted to call the place and let them know that I would not be coming in,,, as I just sat there quietly upset... He said hey you want to call the place here call them and he opened the car arm rest and there sat my new cell phone,,,, He went to the store without me and bought my phone..... That MELTED ME..........He Got me GOOD.[image][/image]

We just got back today from a very romantic three day vacation. DH took me to a little town up in the mountains where we have gone before. It is very beautiful up there and we stay at an old historic hospital that has been converted to a Victorian style B&B. On the way up he stopped to let me shop for some new clothes. He bought me the prettiest new PJ's and a couple of outfits. When we arrived at the B&B he had chilled wine and a cheese plate waiting for us. Saturday morning when I came out of the bathroom he had a new necklace waiting for me. Saturday night we came back from walking up a huge hill (nicknamed heart attack hill by the locals). He suggested we rest in the pub before going up to the room. He turned on the TV and I saw our pictures up on the screen. Then a DVD started playing that he had made himself. It was a compilation of pictures from our life together with my favorite music playing in the background. The innkeeper who was in on the whole thing stayed and watched it with us. She and I were both crying when it finished. He has no experience with making slide shows and I couldn't believe that he had found all those old pictures and put together such a beautiful DVD for me. I am the luckiest gal on earth!

This is awesome! You hear so many women bashing their husbands, it is nice to see so many talk like this.
I get frequent headaches, I love the way he takes care of me when they are so bad that I need to stay in bed. I remember the first time I had one when I was with him. He stayed with me in a dark room with my head on his lap. He just sat there with me. It made me feel very loved!
