Judy, I've been there too. It's a very overwhelming feeling...well not a feeling, more like a state of mind. I am not ashamed to say that my doctor put me on anti-depressants for about a year and a half. It helped tremendously.
I'm praying for you. Please let me know if I can do anything else besides pray.

Judy I am praying for you today.
When I feel depression slipping up on me I sing. I sing Amazing Grace, Wat A Friend We Have In Jesus, Count your blessings, etc. Try it. In the words of Roger Bennett it is almost impossible to be depressed while singing those old hymns.

Hey, Qtman, we have the same way of fighting problems. Sing! Last night, I was feeling kind of out of sorts and it started to storm -- I started singing ... Til The Storm Passes By. Then I'm Not Giving Up. It was very refreshing and peaceful.

Yes, Judy, you are not alone in fighting feelings of depression...
there are more than we will ever know who fight depression simply due to the fact that "life happens" and we are all just human, and it doesn't really seem to be based upon how strong or weak our Faith & Trust in our Lord....sometimes, the stronger our Faith & Trust, the more we get used as an overcomer to be a better witness....or if our Faith & Trust is weakening it is a means of re-strengthening us....either way we must hang on to the never failing fact that our Lord loves us and will carry us thru....
and prayers, many prayers, are being lifted up on your behalf.
Yes, AMEN always try to keep singing and praising and thanking and counting every blessing one by one by one and a little quiet time but not too much quiet time...always see your doctor if it lasts more than a few days at a time....stay around here with us, we'll help all we can in any & every way we can

Judy, I put in a prayer request on here a couple of weeks ago about my depression coming back. Everyone prayed and those prayers were answered. I have no doubt yours will be too!
Praying for all of the requests.
And I have a request too. The other night, I woke up in the middle of the night with a clear vision of what I believe God wants me to do with the rest of my life. It was something that I had not considered before but I am completely okay with it if it is what God wants me to do. It will take a couple of years for it to happen but nearly everything is already in place to make it possible. Anyway, my request is for prayers to make sure that this really is what God wants me to do and not something I came up with on my own.
What it is is overseas missionary work. That's right. Overseas missionary work for the guy who has been preaching for years that we need more missionary work right here in the USA (where 3 of 4 people are not Christians, according to the North American Missions Board) instead of sending all of them to other countries. I never thought that I might be led in that direction.

Please pray for my daughter, Rebekah. She will be admitted at midnight tonight (why midnight? I have no idea) to have labor induced. My new granddaughter should be born tomorrow!!!

I'm asking for prayers for safe travels this weekend. Going to VA for in-laws' 50th anniversary party and since eldest son and girlfriend are going will be traveling in 2 cars. Thank you my fellow prayer warriors.

Family of little 2 year old boy whose sister accidentally hit him in the chest with a baseball bat at baseball practice yesterday, and he was taken home to Jesus.
I do not know this family but my heart so very much goes out to all of them, especially the sister and I pray extra hard for her.
