I would appreciate your prayers for my Hubby tomorrow. His cardiologist thinks he has some blockage in one of his carotid arteries. We're going in for an ultrasound tomorow.

She is currently sitting with her dad in what they're calling a "death watch." Her dad's ready to go to Heaven, and Rosa is fine with that. But it's still very hard to sit beside a loved one wondering if this is the last breath.
In God's time, Rosa's Daddy passed away last night. God gave him a lot longer than anyone ever thought possible (original post was on 10/27). It gave the family members some extra time to be with him and I am sure that is a great comfort to them. Please keep the family in your prayers.

The test went fine. Gene was very relaxed. In fact, I was sitting across the room and I heard a familiar sound. I quietly asked the tech if Gene was asleep and snoring and he said YES! We'll probably get the results by the end of the week. Thanks for your prayers everyone!

I know at times it must seem like all I do is post prayer requests but I have another.
Alicia has been sick again for several days, yesterday they tested for meningitis but thankfully that blood count came back at 6000 (over 10-12,000 indicates meningitis. But she is having headaches, is sick at her stomach, has a sore throat and infected ear. The doctor believes she has a viral infection that has settled in her ear and throat area (causing the throat, ear and head problems) and possible has some of the stomach bug going around (causing the stomach problems that started early Monday morning.
She has used up her sick time at work so this is causing a serious financial problem with trying to get her bills back on track and just paying for the things that are necessary. Plus there are the meds she is taking that have to be paid for.
Please don't misunderstand me, we are truly blessed and this is just a battle we are losing ground on, the war has been won and we know we are victors. But it's depressing, it just makes you want to throw up your hands and say 'what is next?' Yet in my heart I know God has never failed.
This may all sound very confused and illogical and if so, I apologize. I so hate to see Alicia hurting, I hate the money crunch this has put us all in, I hate her not being able to hold and play with Erin and even if she could not having the energy or strength to do so.
Pray for my attitude - I don't like to whining but that is exactly what I feel like doing. Pray for Alicia's health and her mental welll being, this is taking a toll on her already stressed out mind and body. Pray that her being out will not mess up the arrangements that have been made on her bills, causing us to have to renegotiate them.
Most of all pray the Lord will continue to remind me of my blessings rather than the few problems we face!

You are not alone, Sis. I'm struggling BAD with finances, due to my leaving the job at the church. The spiritual side of me knows that God is faithful and will always send "just enough", but even with that, the human side still frets, stresses, and, inevitably literally gets sick at the thought of 'getting behind'. I know where you are in that respect. I've also been 'down' about the frustrations of ended relationships before, too. But, look at how THAT turned out for me! Foster is 'more than what I ever asked for!" So PLEASE know that we're praying for you and your loved ones. BTW, Foster and I were talking about what a sweet prayer warrior YOU are. Thanks for being our friend. Again, we're praying for you right now, Sis.
