Anchorman was one of the dumbest movies i've ever seen.

So glad to see other people dislike Pirates of the Caribbean and Lord of the Rings as well. The one that tops this list for me is Anchorman. I have no idea what was supposed to be funny in that movie.

-For Star Wars, I don't like The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones. Lucas redeemed himself somewhat with Revenge of the Sith. Probably my favorite of them all.
-Napoleon Dynamite just plain sucks. At school I heard how it was so great and once I got around to watching it, it was a complete waste of two hours.
-Most bond movies. I don't mind a couple of the older ones with Sean Connery. Otherwise I'll pass.
-Anchorman. Most of my friends find that the funniest movie they have ever seen.
-Hot Fuzz Nowhere as good as Shaun of the Dead(and it isn't that great) wish i won't have wasted the money on the dvd. I believe I've only seen it once.
-Office Space Why is it considering such a cult classic. The only funny part is the printer. Another complete waste of my money
-and lastly V for Vendetta. I thought it was okay the first time I saw it, but I hope I never see it again. Gets really old.

"Scent of a Woman" Ugh. Please, someone tell me why people like Al Pacino and name me one good movie that he's been involved with in the last 20 years.

"Pay it forward" - I wish I had never seen this movie. I hated everything about it.

"Wedding Crashers" - a movie about despicable and completely unlikeable characters who, presumably, we are supposed to like and identify with. AWFUL.

-ALL Lord of the Rings movies and ALL Harry Potter movies, can't stand any of either of them.
-I liked the first two Pirates movies but didn't care for the third one, though had to watch it to finish the story even if my husband had to get up and walk out of the room in the middle of it, lol.
-Bee Movie (I can't stand Jerry Seinfeld's voice whatsoever)
-The Wizard of Oz...seriously, WHO loves this?? Worst movie EVER, IMO.
-All three of the "new" Star Wars; let's just stick with the old ones, the REAL ones, don't we?
-Any of the James Bond movies
-Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory....another "Wizard of Oz" moment, don't know how people LOVE this movie (no, I have not seen the new one and nor will I ever!)
-A Christmas Story....they play this on every channel it seems during Christmas and I can't stand it, why do people like this movie so much??

Sorry, I'm done with my movie title "rant".

I think its our upbringing or experiences that might make us dislike or like movies possibly and sometimes it is not that as i see Wizard of Oz as a more innocent movie ,more unviolent though that is me myself --
Back when i was younger in 70s Wizard movie was something everyone liked something about and we did not have all the new special effects either as we do today --
I don't like ET at all and Raiders of the Lost Ark was a big one i loved then instead of ..

Oh my goodness. While reading this thread a movie would pop into my head and then I would find someone else in this thread who didn't like it. Titanic, Wizard of Oz, Pretty Woman, Terms of Endearment.

Star Wars overrated with underrated acting. The special effects were great for their time. However, I can't believe that I stood in line to for over three hours and then went to see the sequels.

What Women Want - what?! Helen Hunt and Mel Gibson can do much better! It seems to me that instead of making a movie, Hunt and Gibson were taking paid vacations. Glad I waited for the DVD - even that was a waste of money.

The Boy in the Striped Pajamas was beyond horrible. There are no words to describe what a syrupy, sickening mess it was, like candy-coated dog vomit.

LOL! I wish I could think of a way to use that as a signature sometimes!!

Gone with the Wind and Casablance have got to be the most boring movies I've ever slept through!

I remember years ago being at a friend's house and his girlfriend making us sit through "West Side Story". It had to be one of the most ridiculous things I have ever seen in my entire life, and remains so to this day. The idea about violent gang members prancing about while they are singing and falling in love is absolutely beyond preposterous.

"Cloverfield" represents over two hours of my life I will never get back. Of course I am also including the time it took to rent the movie, and the time it took me to take it back. Is it too much to ask that if I am going to watch a movie, the director would be so kind as to include some small clue as to what is actually happening, so that when the movie is over, I will have some recollection of what I just sat through?

I love that movie! it is one of my all time favorite movies! I can't believe anyone would not like that movie (including you Roberta!) sheesh!

Okay but my list of movies that I think everyone loves but I hate.

I have to agree Star wars, I don't like ANY of them...they are all boring and a huge waste of my time.

The Happening- a lot of people liked it, and I thought it was going to be a great movie but it was just a disappointment, I love most of M. Night Shyamalan movies, but this one just sucked!

Lady in the Water- the only other M. Night Shyamalan movie that I was disappointed with! I expected better from him

Strangers- I have to agree was a terrible movie!

Twilight- I think this is the worst movie ever made! if I swallowed this movie, I would most defiantly choke on it because it was sooooooo bad! yes I have read the book, and I expected it would not be as good as the book, but my goodness it was defiantly still not what I expected.

Gone with the Wind- so much hype over such a long and boring movie.

that's all I can think of, but I know there is more.

Pretty much all of the Bourne Movies are my thing. The storylines are very unique and the stunts and fast paced action is almost believable. It has its own way of attracting audiences who enjoy conspiracy or any type of action movie

I am not sure if this counts, but I refuse to watch "It's a Wonderful Life". Yeah, it's the best movie ever made, and everyone loves it, and how can you not like it, but there you have it. I have never seen it, and I never will see it. Chalk that up to the non-conformist in me. If I am visiting someone and they are watching it, I will leave the room. If it becomes an issue, I will just leave altogether. I resent this movie and everything it represents.
