Dear Father,
Please cover us with the armor of God tomorrow:
THE ARMOR OF THE LIVING GOD!
What does the armor all start with?
It starts with FAITH, to believe the Truth which exists with...or without...us.
So,
what is this Truth?
To believe that God is real, Jesus is His Son, and that the Bible is the living.Word of God.
Before the Word of God...there was God!
So the first part of the armor is the BELT OF TRUTH...
The belt of truth is, in reality, a faith statement.
When we put on this belt of truth, we say: God is real, Jesus is His Son, and the Bible is His Word.
This belt gives strength, prepares us with the inner strength and power of God.
It takes FAITH to ACCEPT the Truth and DESIRE to put on the armor of God.
This is the first "ingredient" to what I think of as the FOUNDATION of the armor...including the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, and feet fitted and ready.
Father, protect us and our loved ones with Your armor tomorrow.
In Jesus name, I do pray.

AMEN, AMEN, AMEN! Every morning I pray for this and I am thrilled to read this! I am scared to think what my day would be like if I did not take the time to put on the whole armor of God!Lord, help everyone to see just how important this is to do EVERY day. You equip your children with what we need, but we forget. Oh, how much easier our walk with You would be if we devoted time first thing in the morning to putting on the armor! Help us to keep this a priority in our prayer life. You are our refuge and we thank you! May we each be reminded that You provide us with the means to escape the fiery darts that we know will come! Bless this person for bringing this prayer request to the forum. We do not need to be deceived and think we can do battle against the enemy on our own! To You I give the honor and praise. Thank You for the armor, Father! In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen

Hmm... I have a slightly different take on this.
Not so long ago, when I was reading the section about the armour of God, I received what I believe was an "insight" about it - that is, it's not a matter of repeating words every day about the armour, but that wearing the armour of God is a way of life..
In other words, to wear the belt of truth, we must be people of truth and integrity. To wear the shield of faith, we must be exercising our faith. To wear the breastplate of righteousness, we must endeavour to live righteously.
I thank God that He has given us this armour - we are part of a greater Army! My prayer is that we always wear it and never take it off. So I ask Lord that You help us to remember the life we are called to live - to actively wear the armour of God at all times. We depend on You every day to enable us to wear it! Thank You Lord Jesus for helping us abide in You. Amen.

Well, I actually agree with you, too. We are to strive to keep on the armor, but I believe there are times when I have slipped and felt like I had forgotten to "put" it on, so to speak. So each morning, I kinda envision stepping back into each piece of the armor..... Guess, it sounds alittle crazy, huh? Of course, my prayer is that we each wear it every day, but I know that because I am human and will goof, I remind myself daily of His armor that I am to put on because I am apart of the Lord's army.

I wasn't trying to cause a debate. But like my devotionals in the morning, if I do something in the morning, it causes me to pause and think about it....or focus on it.
So I feel we need to do certain things in the morning, and I was simply praying for the armor of God to cover us and our families tomorrow.
For the same reason I do my devotionals in the a.m. Why do them at all? After all, I already believe in God.
But satan is a snarling and viscious lion, wanting to claim us in the arena of our mind. I pray that whatever we do in a day or however we start our day, I pray that it all begins with claiming that wonderful protection from God.
I pray that God protects us and our families with His own armor tomorrow morning, and every morning.

To put on the armor of God we must stay in Gods Word everyday for if we do not stay in God's Word we cannot put on the armor.
For God's Word is our shield and a lamp to our feet.... We need God's Word to keep the evil one away..... If you abide in me, and my Words abide in you ask for whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
So even in prayer we should use God's Word.
Heavenly Father
Thank you for the Word of God that it can protect us against the evil one,
for as Jesus was tempted by the devil it was Your Words that kept him at bay.
Father this is my prayer this day that we will learn to meditate on Your Word
both day and night... Help us to find the time to spend this time with you to give you honor and praise with our whole heart and soul.
Thank you Father for your love and all you do in Jesus name amen

Thank you Father for all you do. Before the sunrise breaks and the new day gets busy, let us be mindful of the whole armor of God and the importance there of. We are wise to heed the reminder of Prayer Warrior. As we begin our day in prayer, let us meditate on the importance of being clothed properly. You freely offer the armor to all those who believe in You. We do fight a battle everyday. I believe as Your Word says we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the ruler of the darkness. May all we do, we do in Your name. With your armor and your blessings, we can take the gospel into the world. We can be brave when we share our faith. We can rest in peace knowing that our faith in You is our shield against the enemy. No weapon that is formed against us can prosper when we are fully armed. This is from Your Truth. I pray that we spend moments with You, Father, before we ever leave out of our homes, equipping ourselves with the Truth. Our hope and strength are in You. Thankfully, I pray, in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Amen

Father, thank You for Your armour. For Your protection. Help us to be mindful to put it on. And protect us as we do. Help us to stand Lord. Thank You for loving us. And thank You for the price You paid on the cross. And thank You for the comfort that You will come again and we will be with You for evermore. Help us to renew ourselfs in You. Yes, Father, help us... let us not become distracted by the world's activities around us and forgetfully lay down the armor like some forgotten book or keys only to remember it some time later when we have use for it. Where in reality, we have constant use of it for we should never be left vulnerable. Let us not be without the full armor of God!

AMEN! I prayed the armor and especially the helmet on several x today. It was glorious. Then I quickly prayed for this protection against our thoughts and our minds for our families.

Dearst Father,
Another morning.
Another day.
Another evening.
I desire to put on the breastplate of righteousness.
What does this mean?
THINK OF ALL THE EVIL YOU AVOID BY BEING OBEDIENT...
This breastplate...is God's strength and integrity around us [the Holy Spirit!]
You cannot wear this breastplate if you choose to sin.
The breastplate will not be complete if we choose to sin. It will have holes in it. Big ones.
But if we are obedient, the firey arrows of the Evil One will hit the breastplate and bounce off.
This I pray for us and our families, is the 2nd part of the foundation of the armor!
Third, our feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.
The gospel of peace is the message from Jesus - the Prince of Peace.
What are we ready to do. (go forth into this everyday world we live in!)
GO into the world with the gospel of peace.
GO into your workplace - mine has been unbearable at times- your own home - your city, town, building, everywhere.
I fought to take this peace with me.....but it has been hard. Without God, impossible...
GO means you are on the attack against Satan even in my office, with the gospel of peace.
THERE ARE SOULS TO SAVE!
I am starting to go.
Now God helps us GO.
Oh God, fill me and my family and these friends with a great armor we don't understand. Renew it every single day.
Help us to follow You more simply and more easily.
Help our families.
Help each one of us.
Thank you Lord.

Thank you for the helmet, which I used today when someone said something so evil about me, AND sent it in a company email, she was written up by the manager and lead physician!
I felt peaceful and shrugged off her malicious slander and gossip, and actually felt next to nothing. I felt happy for my boss that she was addressing it, as she needs to take control of all the evil in our office.
And if possible, rid it from the place.
It is amazing that with the helmet of salvation guarding my heart and thoughts, I actually did feel peaceful.
Thank you for guarding my heart, dear Savior, and my mind.

Father, may we be bold with your whole armor on. May we never back down, or back up when the enemy attacks. May we never turn our back to You and want to run, Lord. Our back is not protected by the armor, like our heart, head, and such. When we turn and expose our back to the enemy, it is an easy point of entry for his tactics to enter us. No, let us be bold and believing in You, You've got our back as long as we are fighting to spread Your Word throughout kingdoms and countries. In the name of Jesus, Amen.

I had been a bit confused about the breastplate of rightousness, and that makes sense to me. For me, I also realized that we should remember to react rightously to whatever types of trials or persecutions. If you have to sit there and take someone coming against you again and again, it is HARD to not start thinking a bad thoughts against them. And I mean when you know in your spirit it is not good, not neccesarily anything they are saying. I am often a target because of my appearance, and sometimes it is just NOT EASY. But I think it is gettting much better.

I pray that YOUR word sinks into all our hearts. It has been renewed in me, about 3 weeks ago. I gave You my life again. AFTER that I got a surprise interview, a new job.....unbelieveable.I pray for every part of this glorious and spiritual armor for all of us and all of our children, friends, families....those we dearly love and pray for.
We Christians are drawn into this spiritual conflict, for Satan is God's enemy, thus he is our enemy.
To take advantage of the strength of our God, and all of His power and His might, we believers MUST put on the armor.
Put on [enduo] in this sense has a sense of permanence...once and for all! We don't take it on and off at our whim.
The armor of God can and should be a life-long uniform...providing divine power for a lifetime!
Jude 1:24 To him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy—25 to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore!
GOD's Truth...So beautiful...Yes it is the basis for all the rest of the armor!
Lord, make our armor secure. Impenetrable. Renewed each day with our prayers and our choice.

THE BELT OF TRUTH
In John 17:17 Jesus says, “Sanctify them through Thy truth: Thy Word is truth.”
John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Heavenly Father,
Keep me in Your Word so that Your truth is imprinted in my mind and written on my heart.
Thank You for the armor You have given us. Help each of us put it on every single day so

Yes, Lord, help us to be mindful that our strength comes from You and we are overcomers this morning. Thank You, God, for the whole armor that strengthens us and protects us from the enemy! Let us be strong today, not backing down or backing up. We move forward with Your Truth hidden in our hearts. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen
