Hint: you have seen the birth certificate by now -- that's what the COLB is -- it is the only certificate issued by Hawaii that proves the location of your birth. As a Hawaiian-born person, this is the only certificate available to you that proves your place of birth. If Obama had been born in Mombasa, if would have said so on his COLB. It says he was born in Honolulu. As for Berg's assertion that Obama lost his citizenship by naturalizing as Indonesian. That is not even possible. The only ways you can officially renounce your American citizenship is to do so in front of witnesses from the US government, signing all the appropriate forms and statements, or commit an overt hostile act against the country, like joining Al Qaida and fighting American troops. The citizenship laws of Indonesia, Kenya, Britain, or any other country in the work mean squat to the American government. Only the US government gets to decide who is and who is not an American citizen.

Rather amusing development on the birther front today. Orly Taitz had apparently unearthed a smoking gun -- a bona fide "Certified Copy of Registration of Birth" for a Barack Hussein Obama in a Mombasa Hospital in Kenya in 1961! See the document at the equally gullible WorldNutDaily, purveyor of daily nonsense: http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=105764 Taitz immediately filed suit (for the umpteenth time) to be allowed to subpoena the Kenyan Embassy for more documents and to compel Hillary Clinton to validate the authenticity of the document. Well, all Taitz has done is prove that she is an idiot, and she has been taken for a fool. Even a cursory examination of the so-called birth certificate shows that it's a fraud. In fact, it's nothing more than a prank -- an April Fool-type prank where all the evidence you need to know that it's a prank is in the document itself -- if you're willing to spend about 10 minutes examining it, that is. 1st clue -- the person who supplied her with the document "wants to remain anonymous out of fear of their life". This is a classic red flag and is never true with this type of conspiracy theory. When you receive information that you have no way of verifying from an anonymous source who refuses to identify themselves, the last thing you should do is yell "PROOF!!" from the rooftops. It will only come back to bite you. 2nd clue -- the document is dated 17th Feb 1964, and has the seal of the Office of the Registrar, Coast Province, Republic of Kenya. The only problem is, the Republic of Kenya only came into being in December 1964 (they won independence in lDec 1963, but were not declared a Republic for another year). 3rd clue -- E.F. Lavendar, the supposed registrar, is actually the name of a popular detergent in Kenya. While that might be just an amazing coincidence, if you see the name Mr. Tide or Mr G. Ultra on an official-looking document you would be forgiven for smelling a rat. 4th clue -- the serial number of the document: 47,044. Ring any bells? 47 -- President Obama's Age 0 -- for Obama, naturally. 44 -- If Bush was 43, then Obama is....? So there you have it. Now, to be honest, I didn't notice any of these things myself, but then I wasn't preparing to file a lawsuit based solely on this document as "proof" of wrongdoing. Yet within a couple of hours the soaring hopes of birther nuts everywhere were cruelly dashed as the realization that their birther queen had been easily duped by what is probably a sophomoric prank. Of course, the birthers are now claiming that it was all the work of the dastardly Obamanoids, a red herring to sow confusion amongst the true believers and to throw them off the scent. But this was only to be expected, since it is rule number 14 in the conspiracy theorists' handbook: 14) If evidence being used to claim the existence of a conspiracy is proven to be completely false, then you can guarantee that said evidence was planted by members of that conspiracy as a misdirection. IMPORTANT NOTE: BE WARNED: I would recommend not going to Orly Taitz's own web site. When I went there earlier it was flagged by Firefox as hosting malicious software (a virus or trojan of some kind). When I ignored the warning and went there anyway, my antivirus software immediately warned me that it had indeed intercepted an attack.

You know it's very sad to see such thing, I believe this should be the first time in the history, for an american president to be questioned about his origin of birth! Personally, I feel that he may not do his best at his position so people are getting some negative imagines about his leadership. I'm sure there's something behind this...

It's the polling data card. It's Shermans fault. When he retreated to the Sea during the War of Northern Aggression, he killed or ran off a good many smart Southern White people. They were replaced after the war by no-account dumb Yankees (AKA Carpet Baggers). Of course the poll didn't cover religious affiliation. Bet most birthers are Christian fundamentalists.

I am more concerned about him doing his job. Period. I didn't vote for him, but I hope for him to be the best president he can be....but I don't think any president ever does that. They are human...and they get sidetracked by their visions rather than the good of the nations sometimes.

Why worry about what we don't know about Obama. He exposes what he is to the light for all to see, only we're too confused to do anything about it. Just look the recent hate crimes bill. He's acts like man with a bone to pick rather than a president concerned with the welfare of the entire nation.

You don't seem to be able to get this do you. President Obama did not introduce the Hate Crimes bill, did not write it, and did not sponsor it (he may have been a co-sponsor on the 2007 Senate version, but so were 40 or more other senators, some of them Republicans). This Hate Crimes legislation has been around since 2001, long before Obama came to Washington, and has been a popular cause amongst almost all Democrats. The only substantial thing Obama has done is say that he will sign the bill -- exactly what any Democratic president would do.

Personally, it's only a formality. It's very common to seen within the asian communities, people have more than 2 even 3 citizenship, apart from having US Citizenship.

Here's an interesting perspective on what would happen if the birthers somehow actually proved their contention: Resignation, impeachment, or nothing. If Obama stood his ground, and Congress stood by him, then the only way to legally remove him from office would be for someone to sue. Problem is, no one would have standing to bring such a lawsuit. To establish standing, a plaintiff must show that he has suffered an injury personal to him, that the defendant caused the injury, and that the court could provide a remedy. That turns out to be an impossible task. To me, the birthers best chance would be to sue every state election commission in 2012 in an attempt to keep The Great One off the ballot when he runs again.

It truely sickens me to see so many believers fall for this stuff. It's obvious to me that they don't believe God is in control. How sad.
