I wax regularly, but for the occasional stray hair I use tweezers.

I personally use a razor. A lot of people might tell you otherwise, but due to a hormone imbalance, etc., I'd had a lot of facial hair on my chin -- went to electrolysis for a while, and she actually told me that it was better to shave than to wax because waxing stimulates the hair follicles causing more growth, while shaving does not stimulate the hair follicles. For years I have also used bleaching products for the face. Sally Hansen was my favorite. I don't wax at all anymore and just shave when I shave my legs. Nobody even knows, except me (and all you now!). People think that it grows in thicker, but I haven't noticed that at all. Because I have darker skin, darker hair, I tend to have more hair (it seems) -- but have tried everything under the sun to get rid of it. I have just added the shaving right into my routine when I am showering. Hope that helps!

If I don't do something, I look like a scrub bubble... I use the Wizzit and so far, so good. Your comment made me laugh out loud! Loved that! Scrub bubble! I did check out the wizzit via your link -- I am curious .....does it hurt? Is it like the "epilady" -- do you remember that?

I'm using Nair. I tried waxing, which I might go back to. I tried shaving, but found that the hair was getting more and more stubborn and coming back in greater numbers. Soon, I had to shave almost every day. So, I'm going back to combo of Nair and waxing. I have dark skin, so electrolysis won't work unless I use the specialized new lasers that they have designed for people with lots of melanin (the chemical that gives skin and hair color) in your skin. When I have enough money to do that, I'll probably have them zap it off! So far, I'm finding that I need to use Nair for longer than the recommended time and I'm currently using it every 2 - 3 days. Today was the first day that ALL of the hair was removed and none were left behind (woo hoo!!!) I'm hoping that in time, I'll only need to use it once a week and that the hairs won't be as thick as they are now.

I have used tweezers/shaving for a while depending how much there is to do at a time. But I just bought an epistick although I haven't got used to it yet. It sorta worked even the first time but it pulls out little fine hairs that didn't bother me anyway and leaves the bristly ones behind most of the time (on my chin) so I am still tweezing. It did a good job on my upper lip though (I only need to do the corners) My chin started with 3 whiskers at age 13. It has gradually increased (to quite a lot - if I leave it I look like Shaggy from the Scooby Doo cartoons) My mum offered to pay for electrolysis for me when I was mid-twenties for a birthday present but I stopped going. Even with an anaesthetic lotion, each hair felt like having an injection. I also tried one of those machines that are supposed to be the painless version of electrolysis that has a tweezer thing that you hold the hair for 30 seconds and it sends a current down to the root, then you pull it out. Didn't work. I have heard good things about those new machines that light up an area, then zap it, but they are mega expensive. Waxing doesn't work for me on my face, the hairs are too bristly. And the hair-removing creams etc give me blisters. (yes the ones specifically for the face)

And the hair-removing creams etc give me blisters. (yes the ones specifically for the face) I can so relate and empathize! I have been through all those procedures also. I did electrolysis for a while -- I found a gal who did it out of her home and was fairly inexpensive, but man did it hurt! I quit going when she moved. It actually did help quite a bit with a lot of the more course hairs, but I still had a lot of "fuzz". Hate that! Waxing for me doesn't work on my face -- it causes me to break out terribly and I found that it actually made it grow back thicker. I finally got to the point that I just shave every day like a man does. Shaving does not cause it to grow thicker, believe it or not waxing and tweezing do! It really doesn't bother me -- I just do it in the shower while I'm shaving my hairy arms and hairy legs! Sheesh! I don't like the creams either. I've also dyed the hair, but the stuff on my chin is too stubborn. I would love to do the laser treatments, but have heard they're quite expensive and you have to go for quite a few treatments also. I would bet at least $1,000 once I was done (the last time I checked). Razors are cheaper! Oh well, when I get into my 60s/70s it will all fall out and I won't have any body hair right? My granny doesn't have hardly any body hair now. So we have that to look forward to when we get older :-)
