I loved it. Based on these two episodes alone, it's already a cult classic in my eyes.

They could have just shown the All By Myself scene and I would have been satisfied. Man, was that hilarious. Watching it, I just thought..."Been there, done that."

Really can't wait to see where this is heading. The cast is perfect. It's a very much so welcome break from crime and reality television.

My daughter was in show choir, and I chaperoned most of the trips. This show brings back so many memories for me. Sure the situations are exaggerated, but not as much as you might think. The music is great. I'm going to be watching every week.

I really liked the first episode, but I haven't seen the second yet. I have to see if it's on Hulu, where I first stumbled upon "Glee" in the first place. (We don't have cable or satellite.)

The second episode stepped it up in so many ways. Jane Lynch is so excellent in her role. I'm really surprised that it hasn't had more activity on this site considering it had two million less viewers than America's Got Talent. These actors/actresses are really talented, singing all the songs. Gold Digger was really awkward, but the rest of the show was great. Rachel out sang Rihanna in every way with Take a Bow.

I remember Ryan Murphy's other show, Popular, at the beginning of this millenium, which was perfect. Due to Mary Cherry's excellent performance. This is very similar, except with a much higher budget. Considering all of the kids are really talented, it blows my mind. It may not be the most politically correct show, but it is the most original and great show of this season.

I really doubt that there could be a show that's not reality television to top this in the coming year.

I thought it kind of was billed as a comedy, but I found it to be more of a drama. But, I'll probably watch it again.

The songs were all awful in the second episode. The one they did in front of the school assembly was least terrible, but as someone who often feels keenly embarrassed for others, I found Golddigger actually unwatchable.

I hope episode 2 was the low point for the series, but if the songs in the rest of the series are morelike episode 2 than episode 1, this is very, very bad.

In episode 1 the music made the show better. In episode 2 they made me play solitaire until the awful scene was over.

Well that's what happens when you have to edit most of the song, not that gold digger is some lyrical masterpiece or anything.

I am most definitely a Gleek. The show gets better every week. I love how they're branching out with all the different characters, and not just focusing on a select few. And also how you think a character is one-dimensional, then they throw a curve and give them added dimension. Honestly, this is the best fictional show on TV right now.

Also loved how they handled Kurt's homosexuality. Rather than having a "It's ok! Being gay is fun!" message at the end, his dad said, "Well, I may not like it or agree with it...but you're my son, and I'm not going to love you any less." Much more realistic and mature approach to the subject. The Single Ladies football player dance was hilarious.

This past episode really was my favorite so far. I too loved the way that his dad responded to him. All the signs were there throughout the episode to lead you into believing that he was not going to be so supportive, so I was so glad to see it happen the way it did. What a hard place to be for both situations.

I really am loving this show except for the wife. Nothing against the actress. I don't like the part. Her being on screen actually makes me uncomfortable watching. I watched the episode a second time off DVR and fast-forwarded through the parts with her.

I don't like the wife character, either ... lying to her husband about being pregnant? How awful is that?

Count me in, I love this show. It kinda reminds me of Freaks and Geeks but with music. I'm looking forward Kristin Chenoweth next week.

Harvie, it is awful. She still is funny, but at least she does feel extreme guilt over it.

Ryan Murphy had another show called Popular, which was like a very low budget Glee...without the music. I'm thinking he was afraid it was going to be canceled, so he's moving the plot along very fast. Fortunately, Fox has granted it a full season. I don't think the fake pregnancy plot will last too much longer, as fast as the show is moving. Then he will have to come up with plots towards the end of the season. Hopefully, he will get rid of the Rachel drama. It's getting a bit old. All the characters are progressing, whether main or supportive. But she is going through the same thing every week.

I do feel bad for Finn and Will! I'm hoping he'll close those plots soon. Ryan Murphy probably will. What the WB did with Popular...they didn't tell Ryan that they were going to cancel it. So, it ends on a cliff-hanger. He said if he knew it was going to be canceled, he would have came up with a series finale. He also announced what he was going to do with the third season. It seems that Fox is really behind this show, so I do hope he gets his chance to fully do what he wants with it.

jodavi, I actually saw an article that compared this to Freaks and Geeks and High School Musical. Freaks and Geeks, I can see. High School Musical? No Way.

I've tried to watch this show but turn it off when the teacher is crushing on the married teacher and they have uncomfortable, tension-filled moments.

I did watch Single Ladies on Youtube and made the kids get up to watch it. It was almost 6, but still - made me smile all day.

To each their own... but I feel like this is a silly reason-- and far from the worst one-- to chose not to watch a show. People in real life every day are crushing on their co-workers, friends, neighbors, etc. I like the way the show is handling it. He's been faithful. She's trying to be respectful of his vows. They're both struggling with something that real people are going through right now. I hope it doesn't turn into something that it shouldn't no matter how much I dislike his wife character, but right now its sharp writing. Relationship tension always makes good plot...

I agree. He has been faithful, she is trying to keep her distance. I like both characters.

Kristin Chenoweth was exactly what "Glee" has needed!

She brought plenty of hilarity to the show last night. The previous episodes have wobbled between too musical and "Where'd the comedy go?" The teenage angstyness was finally tempered by Kristin's deft comedy touch.

*sigh*

I miss Kristin Chenoweth and Matthew Morrison on Broadway.

Just watched this for a second time on hulu. What a wonderful episode.

I've been going out of my way to not spoil myself on any of the songs in the episodes. Kristen was terrific singing Maybe This Time. And I teared up when the full cast sang Queen's Somebody to Love. I am so glad that they picked this up for an entire season. It very much so deserves it.

Okey-doke, now I've watched the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th episodes. I really liked the 1st but am disappointed with the rest. I've kept watching it in order to keep up with a friend who likes it but also to see if I'll start liking it again. The first episode had a spark to it that, to me, the others don't have, but I can't quite put my finger on it. Part of it is that the first episode seemed like the show promised to be chaste in the way it handled relational subjects...but the rest of the episodes haven't been my kind of chaste. (I don't mind the subject matter...but I don't like if it's handled even a tad too roughly.) Sorry for being a party-pooper... :(

I have actually thought they have handled the rough topics in an extremely mature way. Obviously some of the plots haven't played out yet. The pregnancy plots, for example.

But you have Sandy shown as a creepy pervert, which he is. Kurt's dad didn't fully condone his homosexuality. Kristen's character realized that she was a deadbeat woman, and is going to try to "straighten up" her life. Mercedes is still dealing with the fact that she's overweight and not likely to have a boyfriend in high school. Rachel ignored her feelings for Finn, even though he's taken, to be a good friend to him and help him out with the baby that's not even his.

This is the most mature teen show I've seen since Freaks and Geeks or My So-Called Life. Of course, there will never be a show as mature as My So-Called Life in its subject matter. A show like My So-Called Life comes along once in a lifetime.
