I have so much Theraful stockpiled. A couple weeks ago it was on sale for $4, if you bought 3 then you got $8 back.

I wanted to get in on that deal, even printed the IPs out for it, then we had to buy gas with literally our last few dollars. Ah well.

So thankful hubby is working again!!!

How does Rite Aid work with the SCR's? Do you have to pay up front and then wait for a rebate?

Yes. Last month, they had so many FREE-bates that I got a check back for $46 and have stocked up on lots of cold medicines for our whole family.

I love Rite Aid's single check rebates! Todays deals...

-Johnson & Johnson 15 oz baby bath on sale for $2.99...$1.99 after coupon (I had two, so got two)
-Nivea lip gloss on sale for $2.50...I had a BOGO coupon, so $1.25 each
-Oral B toothbrush on sale for $2.99...will be free after rebate, plus I had a $1 coupon
-Herbal Essence...BOGO @ $4.59. I also had a BOGO coupon, so really bought 1 and got 3 free. 4 products for $4.59...$1.15 each!
-Aussie deep conditioner on sale for $3.00, had a $1 coupon also

I also had two coupons they emailed me...$4 off $20 purchase, and $2 off any Rite Aid brand OTC medicine. I used the medicine one on Jr. Strength Ibuprofen, which I needed anyway.

Total, I spent just under $30. My Rite Aid card savings were $19.45, and coupon savings were $17.50.

That's it, I'm traveling around the country and shopping with you people . I can drive to Donna, but I'll have to do really well with Ryanne to offset airfare. Writerchick, if I bring enough chocolate can I sneak in to your young adult slumber party?

I wonder if it's a locality thing. I get a Walgreen's circular in the mail every week and I never see deals like that in it. Same for Rite Aid. We don't have any of the supermarkets you guys have mentioned in my area either.

These are national deals. You just need some experience sniffing them out. I'd only shopped Walgreens once in a blue moon before learning how to coupon. Forget about CVS. They were much too expensive. Now, I love both of those stores.

It takes some work to get started, but it's worth it. And you'll get faster as you go.

I highly recommend that you check out the forums at Hot Coupon World or A Full Cup. There are wonderful shopper there who post details of their shopping trips so that you can copy it to gain experience. Or you can just jump in and post a scenario for people to review before you head to the store.

The goal is to get the most of what you need for as little out of pocket as possible. Many times, that involves splitting up your transactions in the case of Walgreens. You'll note in the circular that they give you register rewards when you buy certain items. If you split up your transactions, you can pay for trans. #2 with the reward you received from trans. #1.

Rolling the reward means that you buy something in trans. #2 that triggers another reward. You roll that into trans. #3. Keep going until you're tired. To make the deal even better, you would add manufacturer and store coupons to the transactions. This is how you play the Walgreens game. This is the kind of how to you'll get on the coupon forums. Before you know it, you'll be shopping for free, too!!

This week the hot deals are at Walgreen's. Kleenex for $.09 a box, free diabetes meters that give you $5rr, and $.99 No Sugar Added Cranberry juice. I should have $60+ in rr by the end of the week and I'm going to use them for Black Friday deals and stocking stuffers.

I have a Walgreens coupon for Kleenex for 1.09. Is there a coupon out there for $1.00 off? How can I get this deal for .09 cents?

I'm just starting to get in the habit of using coupons -- thanks to some good advice here at CW. I'm still a newbie though and trying to figure everything out... you all have managed to get some great buys!

Glad you're getting some tips! I love sharing my deals so other people can take advantage of them. Let me know if you need help figuring out any transactions.

Thanks so much, Writerchick. Very kind of you.

BTW: You and a few others in the finance forum are the reason that got me excited about coupons and saving ideas. I appreciate all of the advice given in that forum and here. Very much appreciated.

CVS shoppers--if you sign up for the CVS advisory panel, you'll have a chance to do surveys for ECB on occasion. I did a short survey this week and got a $5 ECB for my trouble. I bought two Colgate toothpastes (the larger tubes) 2/$5.50, less 2 $1 coupons, and a gallon of milk for $2.99--used my $5 ECB, paid $1.64 cash and got $1 ECB back for the toothpaste--like getting everything for $.64.

Hi Coupon Cutters! I do not get manufacturer's coupons sent to my house. I am trying to save on ink so, I would rather not print from the online sites. Does anyone know of a place where I can sign up to get coupons sent to my house? Thank you!

I like the Rite Aid rebates also but then they're closing a lot of Rite Aids here so I have to drive an extra mile for a Rite Aid. I do look for Rite Aid rebates where I do have a coupon also. They had a toothbrush for 1.99 a few weeks back and rebate for 1.99 then I had a coupon for 1.00 so I paid .99 then got the rebate. I also have prescriptions with Rite Aid so 'was using the coupons for prescriptions but then found out that Target has my prescriptions on their 4 dollar list and since I work for them....I get 10 percent off with it. I also look for the coupons that's printed at the groceries when my receipts are being printed. I had a 4.00 off for Iams printed with my receipts last month. Last week, they had Iams on sale for 4.99 so I only paid .99 for a bag of Iams cat food. Kroger also send some coupons in the mail where you get free eggs, or free bread, I think every 2 months.

You can always try emailing the companies and giving them comments on their products that you use - why you did or did not like something. A lot of times they will send out coupons if you leave your name and address with your comment.

Or are you talking about ordering multiples of coupons that you know you need? Ebay is good for that.

Big shopping score today! I was shopping for my sister. One of the items on her list was candles. I found some 18 oz. jar candles that were marked down from $10 to $4! I decided to get one for her, and one for myself. The one I picked out didn't have a lid. I didn't care though. Because it was missing the lid, they gave me an extra discount! Total savings for the 2 candles was: 65%!!

Don't completely overlook the online coupon sites. I just found out the other day that you can load some of those coupons to your shopper's loyalty card. I'm sure it's been that way for a while, but I never noticed it.

Go to coupons.com and select the drop down menu on the left for the loadable coupons. You can't get multiples that way, but it's a little something.

You can also look into coupon clipping services. There you can buy whole inserts or just the coupons that you need. You pay for their time to clip and send them to you. I'm considering going this route.

I think that's how this site, The Grocery Game, works. But it isn't free.

From what I understand, Coupon Mom does the exact same thing as the Grocery Game and is free. Might be worth a look. I just haven't gotten around to exploring it yet.

Some good deals today shopping:
Stuff for my sis's gift: almost everything on sale, or coupons, or both. I put together a basket of stuff, and even the basket was on sale (60% off!)
Fleece for hubby for cold weather running on clearence.
Game for hubby: used a coupon.
Shirt and tie for hubby: $.40 (yup, 40 cents!) after coupon, and sale price! Reg. price $50! Savings: 99%!
Fuzzy Socks for me (just because ) were 1/2 off, was given an additional discount because the tag was missing. I didn't ask for it, they just did it! Yah!
Flower growing stuff for 3 of my relatives: paid $4.00 for each person (reg. $10.00 p/person) with discounts. Yah!
Went to Jamba Juice to get a drink. Drink was free with coupon. While there, they had an extra drink that had been made by mistake. Did I want it? Of course (after finding out what was in it, of course). 2 free Jamba Juices!
I think there were a few more things, but those are what I can think of off the top of my head. So, yes good day! My budget thanked me!

Had to pick up some litter today for our cat. I had a coupon for $1.00 off, and used a store double coupon for a total of $2.00 off. Also picked up some soda (savings: $1.10 with store card), picture frame (savings: $8.00), tape (savings: $1.29). Total savings for the trip: 60%!

Great job! I need to get back out there. Although I did manage to buy 4 boxes of cereal on Sunday for $.24 each. That's been the highlight of my shopping experiences lately.
